Ramel Rones

Ramel or “Rami” as students call him, is a Scientific Consultant of Mind-Body Therapies at Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, Children’s Hospital Boston, and Tufts Medical Center, as well as co-author of numerous scientific publications.  Rami lectures and instructs on the techniques of the eastern Internal Arts in hospitals, institutions, and schools around the world.

Mary Peterson

In her ealy 40’s Mary’s health began to seriously deteriorate. Her immune system was compromised and as she described her condition, “name a symptom, I had it.” Multiple courses of medications failed and left her depressed.  After losing her job, other hardships followed and she became desperate for answers, saying, “I felt left out of life.” She found help at Tufts Medical Center where she was properly diagnosed. Mary also joined the Tufts Fibromyalgia Study. Her life and lifestyle, suddenly changed dramatically.

Jayan Landry Ph.D

Dr. Jayan Marie Landry, a licensed psychotherapist, Clinical Nurse Specialist & Nurse Practitioner with a doctorate in counseling psychology, has thirty years experience specializing in crisis intervention.  As the co-founder of the first East Coast Trauma Intervention Program of Merrimack Valley (TIP), she has experience with over 22,000 child and adult victims of trauma. She is an author and focuses on Eastern complimentary and alternative therapy methods, she also practices REIKI III and EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing).

Dr. David Rosenthal

Dr. Rosenthal received his MD from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1963. After an internship and residency at Tufts Medical Service, Boston City Hospital, he was named senior assistant resident at Beth Israel Hospital. In June of 2000, he became medical director of the Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrated Therapies at DFCI. He points out that over the past few years, millions of Americans have embraced complementary treatments to combat a wide range of illnesses and health conditions. The most frequent users of these new approaches are people with cancer.In November 2000, Dana-Farber opened the Leonard P. Zakim Center for Integrated Therapies, where leading DFCI clinicians and researchers are able to combine complementary patient care approaches with traditional treatments

Meg Holmes

Meg Holmes has had a lengthy career as a school librarian/teacher working with students from kindergarten through college. Her expertise as an educator has carried over to her career as a Tai Chi instructor. Meg considers herself to be a life-long learner and on a lifelong journey as a student of Tai Chi.  She has been a student within the YMAA system ever since and has learned from instructors such as Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming, Ramel Rones, and Jeff Pratt. Not only has Meg been trained in the Yang-style Classical Long Form of Taiji, but she also has received training in the Simplified 24 Short Form; Pushing Hands; Solo Saber and Sword forms; and Two Person Fighting Set.

Paul Blake

Paul Blake is the senior Tai Chi and Qigong Instructor at Yang’s Martial Arts in Andover, Ma.  Paul has studied and taught Tai Chi and Qigong for nearly 30 years under the teaching of world renowned Master, Dr. Yang, Jwing-ming. Paul is well-versed in both the martial and the health aspects of Tai Chi and Qigong and is excited about the future of these arts for, as  new scientific discoveries arise, they validate what the ancient masters endeavored to pass along. Relaxing deeply into our body’s structural integrity, releasing tension, breathing deeply and using our mind to lead the Qi, can produce marvelous results.
